The Thornton Hough Conservation Area covers about 15 hectares and was designated by Wirral Borough Council in 1979. Inside the boundary are 29 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 28 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St George (united Reformed), Grade II*. 6 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
