The WILTON Conservation Area covers about 190 hectares and was designated by Wiltshire Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 142 listed buildings (12 Grade I, 9 Grade II*, 121 Grade II). The most significant is Casino, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
