About the MERE Conservation Area
The MERE Conservation Area covers about 34 hectares and was designated by Wiltshire Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 68 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 64 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Michael the Archangel, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
