The Kelmscott Conservation Area covers about 52 hectares and was designated by West Oxfordshire District Council in 1995. Inside the boundary are 32 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 4 Grade II*, 27 Grade II). The most significant is Kelmscott Manor, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
