The The Pentons Conservation Area covers about 30 hectares and was designated by Test Valley Borough Council in 1982. Inside the boundary are 30 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 29 Grade II). The most significant is Holy Trinity Church, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
