The Stockbridge Conservation Area covers about 80 hectares and was designated by Test Valley Borough Council in 1971. Inside the boundary are 43 listed buildings (4 Grade II*, 39 Grade II). The most significant is Fairways the Grosvenor Hotel, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
