The Bredgar Conservation Area covers about 10 hectares and was designated by Swale Borough Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 17 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St John the Baptist, Grade I. 2 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
