The Crowland Conservation Area covers about 20 hectares and was designated by South Holland District Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 21 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 18 Grade II). The most significant is Crowland Abbey, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
