The South Harting Conservation Area covers about 22 hectares and was designated by South Downs National Park in 1984. Inside the boundary are 40 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 38 Grade II). The most significant is The Parish Church of St Mary, Grade I.
