About the Linton Conservation Area
The Linton Conservation Area covers about 42 hectares and was designated by South Cambridgeshire District Council in 1972. Inside the boundary are 109 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 6 Grade II*, 102 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Grade I. 20 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
