About the Bassingbourn Conservation Area
The Bassingbourn Conservation Area covers about 45 hectares and was designated by South Cambridgeshire District Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 47 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 46 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Grade I. 57 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
