The Astley Conservation Area covers about 26 hectares and was designated by Shropshire Council in 1988. Inside the boundary are 7 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 5 Grade II). The most significant is Astley House With Adjoining Screen Wall and Coach House, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
