The North Luffenham Conservation Area covers about 15 hectares and was designated by Rutland County Council in 1981. Inside the boundary are 47 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 4 Grade II*, 41 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St John the Baptist, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
