About the Northiam Conservation Area
The Northiam Conservation Area covers about 83 hectares and was designated by Rother District Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 72 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 4 Grade II*, 66 Grade II). The most significant is Brickwall, Grade I. 50 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
