The Ham House Conservation Area covers about 63 hectares and was designated by London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in 1982. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Ham House, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
