The Union Street Conservation Area covers about 4.8 hectares and was designated by Plymouth City Council in 2002. Inside the boundary is 1 listed building, all Grade II*. The most significant is Former Palace Theatre and Great Western Hotel, Grade II*. 1 Article 4 direction over the area removes further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below.
