The Alstonefield Conservation Area covers about 12 hectares and was designated by Peak District National Park in 1979. Inside the boundary are 30 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 27 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St. Peter, Grade I.
