The Bamburgh Conservation Area covers about 19 hectares and was designated by Northumberland County Council in 1972. Inside the boundary are 27 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 24 Grade II). The most significant is Bamburgh Castle, Grade I.
