The Easby Conservation Area covers about 38 hectares and was designated by North Yorkshire Council in 1995. Inside the boundary are 14 listed buildings (3 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 10 Grade II). The most significant is Abbey Gatehouse, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
