About the Staithes Conservation Area
The Staithes Conservation Area covers about 14 hectares and was designated by North York Moors National Park in 1972. Inside the boundary are 79 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 78 Grade II). The most significant is Kirkhill, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
