The Irthlingborough Conservation Area covers about 18 hectares and was designated by North Northamptonshire Council in 2010. Inside the boundary are 13 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 11 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Peter, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
