About the Eling Conservation Area
The Eling Conservation Area covers about 65 hectares and was designated by New Forest District Council in 2000. Inside the boundary are 13 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 10 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Mary, Grade II*. 2 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
