The West Hoathly Conservation Area covers about 14 hectares and was designated by Mid Sussex District Council in 1972. Inside the boundary are 22 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 19 Grade II). The most significant is The Parish Church of St Margaret, Grade I.
