The St George's Conservation Area covers about 11 hectares and was designated by Leicester City Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 15 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St George, Grade II*. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
