About the CASTLE ACRE Conservation Area
The CASTLE ACRE Conservation Area covers about 45 hectares and was designated by Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk in 1971. Inside the boundary are 23 listed buildings (5 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 17 Grade II). The most significant is Bailey Gate, Grade I. 15 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
