The BURNHAM MARKET Conservation Area covers about 29 hectares and was designated by Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk in 1975. Inside the boundary are 58 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 54 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Mary, Grade I. 10 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
