About the ST IVES Conservation Area
The ST IVES Conservation Area covers about 178 hectares and was designated by Huntingdonshire District Council in 2007. Inside the boundary are 152 listed buildings (3 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 147 Grade II). The most significant is Chapel of St Ledger, Grade I. 183 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
