The Buckden Conservation Area covers about 21 hectares and was designated by Huntingdonshire District Council in 1974. Inside the boundary are 58 listed buildings (4 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 52 Grade II). The most significant is Curtain Wall to Buckden Palace, Grade I. 8 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
