The Market Harborough Conservation Area covers about 19 hectares and was designated by Harborough District Council in 1969. Inside the boundary are 70 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 6 Grade II*, 62 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Dionysius, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
