About the Halton Conservation Area
The Halton Conservation Area covers about 17 hectares and was designated by Halton Borough Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 19 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 5 Grade II*, 13 Grade II). The most significant is Halton Castle, Grade I. 2 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. 24 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
