The Royal Clarence Yard Conservation Area covers about 13 hectares and was designated by Gosport Borough Council in 1990. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Granary, Bakery, Flour Mill, Stores, Attached Boiler and Engine House, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
