The Brookland Conservation Area covers about 6.7 hectares and was designated by Folkestone and Hythe Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 18 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 16 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Augustine, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
