The Copped Hall Conservation Area covers about 342 hectares and was designated by Epping Forest District Council in 1984. Inside the boundary are 11 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 10 Grade II). The most significant is West Lodge, Gateway, East Lodge to London Entrance Drive to Copt Hall, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
