The Benington Conservation Area covers about 20 hectares and was designated by East Hertfordshire District Council in 1968. Inside the boundary are 23 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 18 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of St Peter, Grade I.
