The Dover - Dover College Conservation Area covers about 4.9 hectares and was designated by Dover District Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 13 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 7 Grade II*, 5 Grade II). The most significant is Dover Town Hall, including the remains of the medieval Maison Dieu, Grade I. 2 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
