About the Wareham Conservation Area
The Wareham Conservation Area covers about 46 hectares and was designated by Dorset Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 182 listed buildings (4 Grade I, 7 Grade II*, 171 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Martin, Grade I. 2 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
