The Spondon Conservation Area covers about 12 hectares and was designated by Derby City Council in 1975. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is The Homestead with gatepiers, Grade I.
