The Maryport Conservation Area covers about 63 hectares and was designated by Cumberland Council in 1978. Inside the boundary are 47 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 46 Grade II). The most significant is Netherhall, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
