The Hill Top Conservation Area covers about 5.6 hectares and was designated by Coventry City Council in 1969. Inside the boundary are 23 listed buildings (6 Grade I, 6 Grade II*, 11 Grade II). The most significant is Cathedral of St Michael, Grade I. 13 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
