About the Lower Slaughter Conservation Area
The Lower Slaughter Conservation Area covers about 14 hectares and was designated by Cotswold District Council in 1974. Inside the boundary are 37 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 35 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Mary, Grade II*. 6 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
