The Elkstone Conservation Area covers about 6.7 hectares and was designated by Cotswold District Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 9 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 7 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St John the Evangelist, Grade I. 8 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
