The Dowdeswell Conservation Area covers about 34 hectares and was designated by Cotswold District Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 29 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 25 Grade II). The most significant is Church of Saint Michael and All Saints, Grade I. 5 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
