The Compton Abdale Conservation Area covers about 14 hectares and was designated by Cotswold District Council in 1988. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 13 Grade II). The most significant is Chest Tomb Circa 15 Metres East of North Aisle in the Churchyard of the Church of St Oswald, Grade II*.
