The Barnsley Conservation Area covers about 13 hectares and was designated by Cotswold District Council in 1971. Inside the boundary are 46 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 43 Grade II). The most significant is Barnsley House, Grade II*. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
