The ST AUSTELL Conservation Area covers about 44 hectares and was designated by Cornwall Council in 1968. Inside the boundary are 43 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 39 Grade II). The most significant is Holy Trinity Church, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
