The PORTHLEVEN Conservation Area covers about 31 hectares and was designated by Cornwall Council in 1978. Inside the boundary are 28 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 27 Grade II). The most significant is Methodist Church and Forecourt Wall, Railings and Gateway, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
