The NEWLYN Conservation Area covers about 28 hectares and was designated by Cornwall Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 44 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 41 Grade II). The most significant is Anchor Studio, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
