The FOWEY Conservation Area covers about 72 hectares and was designated by Cornwall Council in 1969. Inside the boundary are 105 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 7 Grade II*, 96 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Fimbarrus Or St Nicholas, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
