About the Todmorden Conservation Area
The Todmorden Conservation Area covers about 79 hectares and was designated by Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council in 2008. Inside the boundary are 47 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 44 Grade II). The most significant is The Unitarian Church, Grade I. 86 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
