About the Medmenham Conservation Area
The Medmenham Conservation Area covers about 31 hectares and was designated by Buckinghamshire Council in 1971. Inside the boundary are 28 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 25 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Peter and St Paul, Grade II*. 24 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
